Chuck Wilson Founder Producer
Chuck is a Local Hermosa Beach owner of both Studio 637 and Real Estate of South Bay. He was born in the South Bay and has lived in Hermosa for 20+ years.

A lover of the Blues, Roots Country, and Rock that is Blues inspired, Chuck writes and plays in his band, “Old Dirty Blues Band”. He has studied guitar and music theory, and has a vast knowledge of music production.

“Studio 637 and it’s staff is the accumulation of my passion for music. Working with musicians and making music is a joyful experience. I have also found that I enjoy the creative process assisting the staff while making corporate video and audio. The creative process is a challenge and we are proud of what we achieve.”

Kevin Yamada Studio Manager | Producer

Kevin started at Studio 637 as extra help during the construction of the studio while he was interning at a studio in North Hollywood and working part-time at Guitar Center. He grew with us and became the A1 Audio Engineer heading projects from: Music (J Boog, Orianthi), to Film (Eric Roberts, FXX Archer), to Live Streaming (Pennywise, Pepper, Collie Buddz).

As the studio’s departments expanded, Kevin has naturally developed to overseeing or producing all creative content across each department. He handles your booking arrangements, pre-production, and assembles the right team for your project.

Cole Hockenbury 

Video editor, producer, camera actor

Cole Hockenbury is an editor and actor from Southern California. Born and raised in the Los Angeles area. He has been acting since the age of four and became a SAG member when he was six. His acting experience includes: fifty plus telivision commercials, Benchwarmers, The Mindy Project, Shameless, and Documentary Now.

In mid 2013 Cole began working at Studio 637. He currently is a lead editor and Manager of the Video Department. During his time at the studio Cole has created Television commercials, music videos, web shows and everything in between.

Coles talents include editing, color correction, live streaming, directing, videography and more.

Alex Lockwood 

Audio Engineer: Music, Film Sound, Live Sound

Alex Lockwood graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a BS degree in Natural Science. In pursuit of his love of music production, he spent the next 3 years writing and producing music for an independent record label in Hollywood. He attended SAE Institute: School of Audio Engineering in Hollywood, where he graduated as Valedictorian of his class. Alex specializes in mixing, recording and mastering music, but he is able to perform most tasks involving sound, including: Voice Over and ADR Recording, Live Sound, Live Stream Mixing, Production and Post-production Sound for Film/TV/Online, Audio Restoration, and Music Production. Alex finds excitement in the process of recording and manipulating audio to ultimately create a product that truly sounds great. As the A1 Engineer of our audio department, Alex leads a team of up-and-coming engineers who also work hard to capture and perfect your sound.

Dylan Pelle is a cinematographer/photographer who was born, raised, and now works out of LA’s south bay. He attended UC Santa Cruz where he studied film and digital media with a focus on narrative filmmaking. His past experiences are in independent filmmaking and network television production. He is also a lifelong drummer and has a passion for action sports.

Claire Davenport graduated from Virginia Tech in May 2013 with a BA in Music Technology: Recording and Production. During her time in school, she interned at two recording studios in Raleigh, NC. The first internship occurred at Osceola Studios under Dick Hodgin during the summer after her freshman year. The second occurred at Manifold Recording Studio in Pittsboro, NC under Ian Schreier during the summer after her junior year. After college, Claire started interning for SoundPure Studios in Durham, NC under Brad Womack and Allen Palmer for a little over a year. During that time, she was saving up so she could move to the LA area in hopes to find a recording studio to refine her skills, grow and succeed as an audio and recording engineer. With the help of her brother and sister-in-law, Claire immediately stumbled upon Studio 637, and the rest is history. Claire also studied as a classical singer during her four years at VT and has hopes to put her soprano voice to use in the future.

Dave attended PLNU in San Diego and graduated with a bachelors degree in business administration. He began interning at Studio 637 in the summer of 2015 to learn about audio engineering and pursue his passion for creating and helping create great music.
