Pharrell Williams, 40, was “Happy” to announce Thursday that his new social book titled Inspiration is now open to the public.
The book is a collaboration between the singer and correction fluid Bic company Tipp-Ex, and is available here.
An interactive promotional video created with Tipp-ex for Pharrell’s features a hunter and a bear trying to protect Inspiration from a crowd of people. The viewer is then given the chance to “protect Pharrell’s book” or “don’t protect Pharrell’s book.” Both links lead to the social book’s website.
In an attempt to ‘save’ the book, the bear ends up using Tipp-ex correction tape to cover lines of the book with the tape. It is now up to the viewers to fill in the lines through the website to get the book back to completion.
Words to the book are missing, and Pharrell is calling on fans to guess what words go in the blank spaces. Whoever is able to guess the correct word first will receive credit in the book once it is published.
When the book is released for sale, the profit will go to Pharrell’s nonprofit organization, From One Hand to AnOTHER. This organization intends to give assistance to the youth living in communities at risk across the nation.
Pharrell has also written a book titled “Pharrell: Places and Spaces I’ve Been”, released in 2012.It looks like Pharrell is exploring new places with his first-ever social book with the help of the public and his fans.
