Donald Glover, known as Childish Gambino, has taken to Twitter to express his thoughts about his record label after being disappointed with the new blog and video of his track “Sweatpants.”
The rapper posted a series of almost ten tweets displaying his anger at Glassnote Records, the label that represents him. “so this sweatpants video and blog was important to us.” he tweeted. “and it wasnt handled correctly.”
Glover also tweeted that he wants to be bought out of the contract he has with the company, for he is “not having another project go through this.”
It is apparent that Glover has been disappointed and lied to by his label, as he also posted, “we were told a lot of things were gonna happen and they were all lies. so im done.”
A similar twitter rant occurred this past November involving Glover and his record label, following the leak of “Sweatpants.”
The rapper tweeted, “im trying to create one of the more imaginative rollouts, and other people’s lust for money and impatience is ruining it” following the incident.
It looks like Childish Gambino will be searching for a new, honest team to represent him sometime soon.
