Just as Miley Cyrus was recently forced to cancel her Bangerz tour dates due to her health, teenage singer Lorde must do the same.

Seventeen-year-old singer Ella Yelich-O’Connor, better known as Lorde, has come down with a chest infection, causing her to cancel some of her Australia tour dates. Lorde took to her twitter to inform her fans about her condition and the postponed shows.

“in case you missed the announcement earlier, i have had to postpone my australian shows because of a nasty chest infection and general ill health.” The Royals artist wrote. “i am so so gutted to have to do this but my parents and my team stepped in telling me i needed a break after being non-stop since the grammys in january.”

Lorde really has been working a lot lately, from the release of her first full album, Pure Heroine, to her first appearance at the Grammys, to her recent performances at the 2014 Coachella festival.

Lorde promises her fans that she will “100% be back for this tour,” which is now predicted to start in November. “i just need time to get back to full gollum girl fitness before i go out playing shows again,” the star tweeted.
